Salmon are caught in Lake Michigan using down riggers in 60-100 feet of water. The Salmon are not native to Lake Michigan. They were transplanted from the Pacific Ocean to help control the invasion of Alewives that happened when the St. Lawrence Seaway allowed them to migrate to Lake Michigan from the Atlantic Ocean.  Panfish and Bass are caught in inland lakes from a row boat using bobbers and worms. Can you identify the fish displayed on the row boat? There are Crappies (Calico Bass), Sunfish and Largemouth Bass. What is your favorite kind of fishing?
