A marketplace in a third world country looks very different from our grocery stores which ironically package and sell food grown and picked in those countries. An interesting question is: Is the food from Chile or Guatemala or Mexico healthier than our American grown food? Does plastic packaging make us think the food is cleaner and safer? Is it more interesting to barter over prices for food in an open marketplace or to simply pay the price stuck on the plastic wrapper or bag?
